Point of Existence
Point of Existence was a series of modifications for the Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2 games by Electronic Arts. Both of these games allowed people to make their own content on top of the existing content in what was known as a mod (modification). During the many years I worked on this project I had the pleasure of working with talented people from all over over the world.
Point of Existence brought modern warfare to the Battlefield Vietnam engine pitting US forces against Russian in a African setting. I created buildings and props for these games and put together the file packages we distrubted. We did 3 major releases for this game and had a very large fanbase. This was a total conversion mod with 3 full factions with custom weapons, vehicles, sounds, levels and so much more.
For Battlefield 2 we retooled our entire team and started on a two year production that won us Mod of the Year for two years in a row. This series of releases were massive full conversions with new armies, maps, models, sounds, music and levels. I produced levels and numerous buildings and props for other levels. I also created weapon models, vehicle models and put together most of our file packages for release. In a small team, you truly do everything.
