For Forza Motorsport 3 I had the chance to work under Dennis Price to create
a new type of 3D User Interface we called the Homespace. I worked with
Bryan Thomas to update his (and the Forza track team's) track, specifically one beautiful turn.
This video was captured off of an xbox and is a bit choppy.
To show off the vehicles we needed to create a series of 3D sets that could be used
when modifying the vehicles paintjobs and changing the parts installed on the cars and trucks.
Normally, when you render a vehicle, it is done from a static location. This allows you
to adjust the lights and reflectors to make all of the visible surfaces of the vehicle look as nice as possible. We needed to create a 3D set that did this same thing. These are the results.
